Business Services Welcome to our Services for Business, Government, and Voluntary Organizations.

Our aim is to help you achieve optimal success. Profit from our expertise.

We offer coaching to enhance leadership and communication skills for individuals as well as business, government and voluntary organizations.

During the past thirty years, Lou Levy, Director of NYCPsychotherapy Center(NYCPC) has helped improve leadership  and communication in business and other organizations. Our solution-focused approach is responsive to the specific needs and objectives of each individual or organization.

Our  customized approach  is  based  in part on our  expertise  in psychodynamics.
interpersonal relations as well as group and organizational functioning. Not surprisingly,
many people tend to suppress important feelings and expectations.   All too often buried impulses and misguided assumptions can stir up otherwise avoidable resentments.and not infrequently wreak havoc. Certainly, this has terrible consequences for the bottom line!

Effective managers appreciate the fact that principles of strong leadership and productive communicatin are never applied in a vacuum (except perhaps on the moon).Meanwhile, back on earth , we are bound by the reality that certain truths about leadership and communication cannot be ignored without harmful consequences

We were called in to help resolve a morale problem in one of the divisions of a mid-sized company. A newly appointed manager, Jim, (all names used in these brief case vignettes  are pseudonyms) had been recently hired to run the department , succeeding  Dave, who had been promoted to a senior veep position. Jim, a very intelligent young business leader, was moving in to take over a position previously held for almost five years by Dave who was known to be a very successful , productive, highly respected and well-liked division  manager.
